Lady Statesmen Cross Country breaks out new donation at GSC Championships

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - On those cold, brisk fall mornings when the Lady Statesmen Cross Country team has been forced to brave the elements at competitions across the southeast, mind has triumphed over matter. Thanks to a recent donation to the program, the Lady Statesmen no longer have to battle the elements and the opposition.
The Lady Statesmen Cross Country program recently received a new covered tent by the parents of the runners. An added advantage few programs have in Division II.
"We tremendously excited about our new tent," stated Doug Pinkerton, Lady Statesmen head coach. "We are very excited about our new tent and I want to thank everyone who donated to make this possible. This past weekend at the conference meet is was cold and windy but we stayed warm in the new tent. It is a great looking tent and we will use it at every race we go to and hope it will be a recruiting tool as well.”
