Delta State University

MEMPHIS, TENN. - The Delta State University men's tennis team fell hard Monday at the hands of the University of Alabama at Hunstville, 9-0, at CBU Courts.  Monday's match was the season opener for both teams.  

While Delta State was forced to forfiet two matches due to injuries, the remaining Statesmen players gave a valant effort led by senior Julien Beckensteiner.  Beckensteiner, playing No. 1 singles, fell in straight sets 7-6, 6-4.

UAH also claimed the No. 2 through No. 5 singles matches, and both doubles matches.  

The Statesmen will be back in action on February 28, as Delta State hosts Christian Brothers at University Courts.
