Lady Statesmen defeat Lady Bison 8-1
CLEVELAND-The Delta State University women’s tennis got back on track after an 8-1 win over the Harding Lady Bison on April 3 at University Courts in Cleveland.

The Lady Statesmen, (9-4) had dropped their previous two matches before defeating Harding. Tatiana Bouchaud and Cecile Benzaki fell 9-7 in doubles play, but DSU defeated Harding in all other matches for the win.

Benzaki, a senior from Paris, France picked up a tough 6-4, 7-6 win in the #1 singles match over Alicia Williams of HU for some much needed momentum. Lisa Jamais, Milena Araujo, Krystle Ozols, Bouchaud, and Priscila Duarte all picked up wins in singles play.


The Lady Statesmen will return to action on April 13, as they take on Southern Arkansas University.
