
Leticia Cunha
Graduate Assistant Coach
Leticia Macedo Cunha enters her first season as a graduate assistant under head coach Brian Hein.
Prior to her arrival at Delta State, Tice received a BA in International Business from the University of Nevada-Reno in 2005 where she also excelled in the pool four for years.
From 2000 to 2004, Cunha swam for coach Mike Shrader and in 2003 claimed a Western Athletic Conference championship. She still holds UN records for the 100 and 200 meter breaststroke. In 2002 she qualified for nationals and was named team captain her senior season.
She also has some international success under her belt, while swimming for her native Brazil. In 1996, she was a member of the Brazilian Junior National Team, and in 1998 represented her country on the National Team. In 2001, Cunha swam on the Brazilian National Team at the World Cup in Rio de Janero.
She is also fluent in three languages; Portuguese, Spanish and English.
Cunha is the daughter of Jose Ronaldo and Elizabeth Cunha of Rio De Janeiro, Brazil. She has two siblings, Rapael and Iara Cunha.
Cunha is currently pursuing a master’s degree in Health, Physical Education, and Recreation.
