- Played significant role in DSU appearing in three consecutive NCAA Regional Tournaments - 1967, '68, '69 - finishing third, first, and second respectively
- Led team to the 1968 NCAA Division II World Series, finishing second
- Four year letterman 1966-69
- Compiled a 23-14 pitching record and a 3.07 ERA
- Registered 280 strikeouts in 285 innings, 25 complete games, and 6 shutouts
- Ranking in DSU pitching records: strikeouts - second, shutouts -(5) - tied for second, innings pitched - seventh, and victories - nine
