Stacey Johnson was one of the top players for the Lady Statesmen from 1993-97, helping lead DSU to a record of 93-27 while making two NCAA Elite Eight appearances and one Final Four. During her time at Delta State, Johnson was named a WBCA First Team All-American in 1996 and 1997, and was a three-time All-Gulf South Conference selection. After guiding the Lady Statesmen to the 1996 NCAA South Region title, she was named MVP of the tournament.  
 
Johnson ranks fifth all-time in career points scored with 1,886 and 12th in rebounds with 846. During her junior year, Johnson averaged 21.8 points per game and 9.8 rebounds to lead the Lady Statesmen and the GSC. As a senior, Johnson scored 20.1 points and cleared 8.0 rebounds per game for coach Lloyd Clark.  In 1993, Johnson was named Gulf South Conference Freshman of the Year after scoring 16.7 points and grabbing 7.7 boards per game.
