Davis-Sykes was a four-year letter winner for legendary Lady Statesmen head coach Lloyd Clark from 1995-1998 scoring 1,318 points. A 1998 Women's Basketball Coaches Association and Kodak First Team All-American, Davis-Sykes led the Lady Statesmen to a 23-9 record as a senior while averaging a career-best 18.2 points per game. She also received Gulf South Conference West Division Player of the Year honors and was a Second Team All-South Region pick by Daktronics.
A two-time All-GSC selection, Davis-Sykes helped lead Delta State to four-straight Gulf South Conference titles and a combined record of 100-25 (.750). Davis-Sykes was named GSC Tournament and NCAA South Regional Tournament Most Valuable Player as a junior.
Davis-Syles closed her career ranking 20th in school history with 1,318 points and fourth in blocked shots with 151. She also ranks eighth with 334 career free throws made.
