(JACKSON, MS) - The Jackson Touchdown Club recently announced the Club's 2008 CellularSouth Most Valuable Senior Awards at the last meeting of the season on Monday, December 1, 2008. The players chosen by the coaching staff of the participating Mississippi collegiate football programs were as follows:

In addition to the collegiate players honored, the Club and CellularSouth recognized Madison Central LB Will Martin as the Club's High School Player of the Year. Martin was selected from all of the weekly winners of the Club's High School Player of the Week Awards.

The club has presented this awards program each year since 1946, the year the organization was founded by the late Dr. Lacey Hughes, a Jackson native who gathered 15 football fans together to celebrate the sport of football.
