Alumni Reunion Response Form
CLEVELAND - Delta State University baseball alumni will converge on Dave "Boo" Ferriss Field this Friday and Saturday, Oct. 16-17 for the Biannual Statesmen Baseball Reunion. The two-day event will feature food, fun, and activities for all former players, coaches, and managers. As part of the event, coach
Mike Kinnison and the Statesmen baseball program will honor its four current Major Leaguers, including San Francisco's Eli Whiteside, L.A. Dodgers' Brent Leach, Houston's Edwin Maysonet and Kansas City's Dusty Hughes.
"We really enjoy putting on this event every two years, and it gives us a real opportunity to stay in contact with all our former players, coaches, and staff that have helped make this program what it is today," stated coach Kinnison. “All four of our current Major Leaguers will be in attendance and we're expecting a large group of returning players.”
The reunion starts Friday at 12:45 p.m. with a golf tournament at the Derrall Foreman Golf Course. It continues at 6:30 p.m. with the game one of the Green & White Fall Series.
Saturday's festivities begin at 11:30 a.m. with a luncheon at Walter Sillers Coliseum. At 1:30 p.m., alumni introductions and recognitions will begin at Ferriss Field with the biannual alumni game set for 2 p.m. The weekend will culminate at 4:30 p.m. with a family barbeque adjacent to Ferriss Field.
