BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Delta State University Football Wide Receiver Duo
Curtis Rearden and
Neno Lemay earned Gulf South Conference weekly honors this morning announced by the conference office this morning.
Rearden garnered GSC Offensive Player of the Week after a career day for the Statesmen last Saturday against West Florida. The Chicago native pulled in four receptions for 207 yards and three touchdowns. Rearden was the first Statesmen to have a 200-plus yard performance since Ricky Hunt had 206 receiving yards against Valdosta State in 2013.
Lemay earned GSC Special Teams Player of the Week for the Statesmen against West Florida. The senior wide out had four kickoff returns for 158 yards and a 97-yard kickoff return for a touchdown that gave the Statesmen momentum in the second quarter.
The Statesmen will hit the road this weekend as they will travel to Valdosta to take on the Blazers from Valdosta State University. Kickoff will be 3 p.m. CT and 4 p.m. local time.
