Josh Branstetter of the Statesmen baseball team has been selected as this week’s GoStatesmen.com Male Student-Athlete of the Week after tossing nine innings in the 10-5 win over Valdosta State March 25.
 
The junior pitcher struck out a career-high 13 batters with no walks. Branstetter faced 40 batters, allowing eights hits and three earned runs. 
 
This season he is tied for the staff lead with 47 strikeouts and the second-fewest walks (8).
