Eric Williams, a senior defensive back for the Statesmen football team, has been named the GoStatesmen.oom Male Student-Athlete of the Week for the period ending Monday, Sept. 3.  Monday's announcement is the first career honor for Williams at Delta State.  

The Jackson, Miss., native made the most of his opportunities last Saturday versus Fort Valley State by picking off two passes and recording two tackles.  The two-year letterman was key in keeping the Wildcats at bay for much of the game.
