Jackie Kelly, a senior forward for the Lady Statesmen Soccer team, has been named the GoStatesmen.com Female Student-Athlete  of the Week for the period ending Sunday, Oct. 14 after leading Delta State to a 3-2 victory at Union University earlier in the week and she turned in an assist in DSU's overtime loss at UA-Huntsville on Sunday.  It's Kelly's first honor this season and third for Lady Statesmen Soccer.
The Rocky River, Ohio native jumpstarted the scoring for Delta State, putting in a tough rebound goal, evading her mark and putting a left footer home.
Friday's goal was the first this season for Kelly on nine shots. Â
