Karl-Richard Hennebach, a freshman on the Statesmen Swimming & Diving team, has been named the GoStatesmen.com Male Student-Athlete of the Week for the period ending Monday, Dec. 31 after leading the Statesmen to the team victory at the DSU Christmas Invitational.  Monday's honor is the second this season for Hennebach.  

The Leipzig, Germany native helped lead the Statesmen to a tri-team meet victory over Limestone College and Missouri S&T University while establishing an amazing six school records.  Henneback set Delta State individual records in the 50-Free (20.35), 100-Free (44.83), 100-Backstroke (48.80) and the 100-Butterfly (48.00), while helping claim two relay marks in the 200-Medley Relay (1:31.19) and the 400-Medley Relay (3:20.34).  

Hennebach and the Statesmen will return to the pool on Jan. 11, 2013 versus the University of Arkansas at Little Rock.  The meet will get underway at 5 p.m. at the DSU Aquatics Center.
