Rhandi Ball, a sophomore forward on the Lady Statesmen Basketball team, captures her second GoStatesmen.com Female Student-Athlete of the Week award after helping lead Delta State to the NCAA Sweet 16 and a berth in the championship game of the NCAA South Region Tournament. Â
The Pontotoc, Miss., native averaged 18.4 points and 6.6 rebounds per game in the postseason, including a career-high 28 points in DSU's loss to Nova Southeastern in the NCAA South Region Tournament championship game.
Ball, a two-year letter winner, was named to the Gulf South Conference All-GSC First Team after leading the Lady Statesmen to the GSC regular season title. Â The 6-foot-1 forward averaged 11.9 points and 7.2 rebounds per game while leading the Lady Statesmen to a 21-10 record this season
