Miller Maddox, a junior on the Lady Statesmen softball team, has been named the GoStatesmen.com Female Student-Athlete of the Week for the period ending Sunday, April 7 after leading Delta State to a 2-1 victory over Union this past Sunday at University Field.  

Maddox, a Greenville, Miss., native, tossed a complete game, six-hitter in DSU's 2-1 win over Union in the series opener Sunday.  The UAM transfer gave up just one run with one strikeout in a key GSC victory for the Lady Statesmen.

Maddox improved to 3-4 on the season with a 1.92 ERA in 18 appearances for the Lady Statesmen this season.
