Tyler Aldridge, a senior third baseman for the Statesman baseball team, is the final GoStatesmen.com Male Student-Athlete of the Week for the 2012-2013 season. Â The Steens, Miss., native led DSU to a 44-11-1 record and was the winner of the Charles S. Kerg Male Student-Athlete of the Year. Â

- 2013 Daktronics All-South Region and NCBWA 1st Team pick
- 2013 NCAA All-South Region Tournament Team
- 3.18 GPA in Exercise Science with a minor in Sports Management
- Two-year starter for the No. 1 ranked Statesmen baseball team
- Helped lead Statesmen to 2012 GSC Championship and NCAA runner-up finish at the College World Series
- Named to the College World Series All-Tournament Team in 2012
- One of the leading candidates for the GSC Player of the Year Award and a national semifinalist for the Tino Martinez National Player of the Year Award
- DSU is 79-20-1 during the last two seasons with Aldridge in the lineup
- Statesmen are currently 30-5-1 and ranked No. 1 nationally
- Established new school record for consecutive game hitting streak with 28 this season
- Led DSU in batting with a .384 average and 84 hits in 219 at-bats. Finished season with 10 doubles, two triples, one home run and 41 RBIs. Swiped 21-of-27 bases.Â
- Actively involved in Statesmen baseball's community outreach efforts and Champs Cup competition
- Helped Statesmen capture first-ever Champs Cup as a junior
- Two-time All-GSC Academic Honor Roll recipient
