Senior guard Cornel Knight captures the GoStatesmen.com Male Student-Athlete of the Week honor after leading the Statesmen basketball team to a 64-49 victory over Cumberland (Tenn.) on Saturday, Nov. 30 at Walter Sillers Coliseum.  The lightning-quick guard scored 12 points and pulled down a season-high 10 rebounds in the win.  

Knight has also had a memorable start to his senior campaign, scoring his 500th career point at Delta State with six points in DSU's 90-71 win over Selma University.  The 6-foot-3 Mobile, Ala., native has scored 523 points in 59 games for DSU, including 343 rebounds and 182 assists.
