Chelsey Rhodes, a senior guard on the Delta State Women's Basketball team, captures her second-straight CableONE GoStatesmen.com Female Student-Athlete of the Week honor after leading the Lady Statesmen (3-0) to back-to-back victories over Harding, 59-51, and No. 15 Arkansas Tech, 72-57, at Walter Sillers Coliseum.
The Monticello, Arkansas, native scored a career-high 34 points and eight rebounds against the Bisons in Friday's victory, while chipping in 13 points and four assists in the win over the No. 15 Golden Suns.Â
Rhodes' 13 points gives her 1,260 career points (26th) and is now 27 points away from tying Ramona Von Boeckman for 25th. Her eight 3-point attempts gives her 448 career 3-pointer attempts, ranking fourth all-time at DSU.
