Anissa Jackson, a 5-foot-6 junior on the Delta State Women's Basketball team, captures her first CableONE GoStatesmen.com Female Student-Athlete of the Week honor after leading the Lady Statesmen to back-to-back victories over Christian Brothers University (73-30) and No. 9 Union (63-59).

The Jackson, Mississippi, native's major contributions came in Delta State's 63-59 victory over previously unbeaten and No. 9 ranked Union Bulldogs, pulling down a career-high 12 rebounds and seven assists. She also chipped in five points.

In a key three minute stretch at the end of the game, Jackson cleared four boards that led directly to baskets or free throw attempts for the Lady Statesmen in the victory.

In DSU's 73-30 dismantling of Christian Brothers, Jackson dropped in five points and hauled in four rebounds.

Jackson and the Lady Statesmen return to action Thursday, Dec. 17 at Valdosta State. Tipoff is set for 4 p.m. CT at The HPER Complex in Valdosta, Georgia.
