Kirtsen Stroven, a junior on the Delta State Swimming & Diving team, claims her first CableONE GoStatesmen.com Female Student-Athlete of the Week award on Monday, Dec. 21 after leading the Lady Statesmen to a second place finish in the DSU Christmas Invitational.

The Brighton, Mich., native earned first place in the 100-Breastroke in 1:03.26, breaking the school record on Sunday. In Monday's finale, Stroven claimed the 200-Breaststroke in 2:17.74.

On Saturday, the relay team of Anastasia Klyarovskaya, Kirsten Stroven, Danielle Dugas and Chloe Bennett earned first place in the 200-Medley Relay with a time of 1:42.48, a new school record.
