Kassidy Tally, a senior outfielder on the Delta State University Softball team, is the CableONE Female Student-Athlete of the Week after capturing the Charles S. Kerg Award during the 48th annual Green & White Awards. The Kerg Award is presented to the male and female senior student-athlete, who excel on and off the field.
Tally, a native of Raleigh is a three-time All-Gulf South Conference selection in the outfield. The speedster holds the DSU and GSC record for career stolen bases with 222, needing 28 in the postseason to set a new NCAA Division II mark. She is an elementary education major, sporting a 3.88 GPA with numerous academic accolades including Omicron Delta Kappa, Phi Kappa Phi, Kappa Delta Pi and Order of Omega.

On the field, Tally ranks second in school history with 187 runs scored, third in hits with 248 and first in steals with 222. In 2014, she was honored with the NFCA's Golden Shoe award after swiping 74 bases as a sophomore. Â Â

She is also a member of Phi Mu Fraternity and has served on DSU Athletics' Student-Athlete Advisory Committee for four years.
