Katie Swaine, a senior forward on the Lady Statesmen Soccer team, is the season's first CableOne GoStatesmen.com Female Student-Athlete of the Week after leading Delta State to a 1-1 week on the pitch.

The Loveland, Ohio, native scored two goals and assisted on a third in Delta State's 4-0 season-opening victory over Millsaps College on Thursday, Sept. 1 in Jackson.

Swaine and the Lady Statesmen return to action on Wednesday, Sept. 7 at Louisiana College.
