Senior defensive end Erin Brown has been named the CableOne Male Student-Athlete of the Week for the period ending Sunday, Sept. 26. Monday's honor is the first for the Hinds CC transfer this season.  

Brown turned in his best performance as a Statesman, recording seven tackles, 3.0 sacks, 5.0 tackles-for-loss and two forced fumbles in DSU’s 47-7 win over Shorter.

The Monroe, La., native has made 17 tackles, 4.0 sacks and 7.0 tackles-for-loss in the first four games for DSU.
