Dakota Glore was key in the Statesmen series sweep of Shorter University over the weekend. Glore delivered a pinch hit, two-run single in the eighth to give the Statesmen a 5-4 lead en route to the game one win. Trailing, 5-3 in the bottom of the seventh of game two, Glore came up big again with a pinch hit two-run triple to tie the game 5-5 and force extra innings. The Potosi, Mo., native moved winning run in scoring position with a sac bunt in the bottom of the ninth to set up a Josh Russell game winning RBI. Glore's bases clearing three-run single in the bottom of the first jump started the Statesmen's 12-2 win in game three on Sunday. Glore hit .600 with seven RBIs, two runs scored and a triple in three games, one start, last week.
