Madison Zoeller, a senior catcher for the Delta State softball team, has been named CableOne Gostatesmen.com Female Athlete of the Week for the second time this season.
 
Zoeller went 3-for-3 with a double and home run in Delta State's 6-3 win over Shorter in game three of the series on Sunday, April 24, en route to Delta State’s third Gulf South Conference series win of the season. She was one of four Lady Statesmen to hit a home run in Delta State’s 6-3 win against shorter on Sunday, April 9. The four home runs in game three were a season high.
 
Zoeller finished the weekend 4-for-6 with a team-high .667 batting average. She recorded her ninth multi-hit game of the season and is tied for second on the team in multi-hit games. She is second on the team in doubles and She is tied for the team lead in multi-RBI games with five.  
 
The Lady Statesmen will travel to the University of West Florida in Pensacola, Fla., for a three-game GSC series beginning with a doubleheader on Friday, April 14, at 4 p.m. and concluding with a single game on Saturday, April 15, at 12 p.m.
