Delta State University baseball player Patrick Hodges was named a Guaranty Bank Featured Athlete of the Week after his performance in a doubleheader split with the University of West Florida. 

Hodges went 1-for-2 in game one of the series, a 6-5 Statesmen win, and added a sacrifice fly RBI. Hodges also scored a run and a walk. 

The Terry, Miss. product followed suite in game two as he went 2-for-3 with a double, an RBI, and a run scored. He also walked twice in game two to reach base safely in four of his 5 plate appearances in the second game of the series. 

For the season, Hodges is hitting .462 with five RBI, six runs scored, a double, a home run, and five walks. 

Delta State returns to the diamond on Saturday, Feb. 27 and Sunday, Feb. 28 against the University of West Georgia at Harvey Stadium Ferriss Field. The Statesmen play a doubleheader on Saturday at 1 p.m., followed by a single game on Sunday at 1 p.m.
