Delta State University football player Marvin Terry was named a Guaranty Bank Featured Student-Athlete of the Week after he led the Delta State defense with 11 total tackles against Jackson State University.
Terry's 11 tackles against the Tigers paced the DSU defense, and he also registered a game-high 2.5 sacks.
The Dallas, Texas native, also registered 4.0 tackles for loss, part of 14 total tackles for loss that the Statesmen forced against the Tigers.
Delta State is back in action on Saturday, Oct. 2, as the Statesmen return home to Parker Field-McCool Stadium to take on the defending NCAA Division II national champions the University of West Florida at 6 p.m.
