CLEVELAND- For the third straight game, the Lady Statesmen went into overtime to decide the winner, as Delta State picked up their second draw on the year with a 2-2 tie against Faulkner University Saturday morning. Delta State falls to 4-2-2 on the year while the Lady Eagles are 3-2-1. 

Delta State trailed 1-0 just two minutes into the game with a goal by Sam Ruddick as she picked up the rebound off the post to knock in. 

The Lady Statesmen were determined to get the win as they rallied back with a goal by Ashley Cechovsky in the 16th minute to tie the game. 

Jennifer Parrot broke the deadlock once again and gave Faulkner the lead with a goal 15 minutes later. 

Sarah Smith tied the game once again a minute later as her shot from 18 yards out slammed off the far post hitting the goalkeeper in the back for going in for her seventh on the year. 

Sarah Prevost earned two saves in the pipes. 

Delta State will remain home next Tuesday as they play game one of a double header with Crichton College. Kick-off set for 1 p.m.
