THIS WEEK IN STATESMEN BASEBALL
The No. 17 ranked Statesmen (29-13, 13-2 GSCW) of Delta State University will take their five game winning streak into Wonder Boys Field this weekend to take on Arkansas Tech University in Russellville, Ark. The Statesmen completed a three-game sweep of UA-Monticello last weekend, while taking both games of midweek set at Montevallo. This weekend's series is set for three games starting with a doubleheader at 2 p.m. on Saturday, and single game at 1 p.m. Sunday.

INSIDE THE WONDER BOYS vs. STATESMEN SERIES
The Statesmen and Wonder Boys will be meeting for the 48th time in series history on Saturday at Wonder Boys Field in Russellville, Ark. Delta State has dominated the series over the years, leading 42-5. The Statesmen are 33-4 against ATU since the Wonder Boy's joined the GSC conference.

STATESMAN TO WATCH - JOSH GORDON, 3B
Junior third baseman Josh Gordon (Vicksburg) is this week's Statesman to watch. The slick-fielding corner infielder has heated up at the plate recently, hitting .571 with eight hits in his last 14 at-bats with one HR and 10 RBIs. For the season, the Hinds CC transfer is batting .357 with five doubles, one HR and 27 RBIs. He has also committed just three errors this year.
