CLEVELAND-Coach Ron Roberts and the Delta State University Statesmen football team climbed back into the AFCA Top 25 poll at no. 23 following a 27-23 road win on Saturday over Valdosta State.

The Statesmen began the season ranked 23rd but fell out after a loss to Division IAA Jackson State University.  Since their 0-1 start DSU has gone 2-0 in their next two games defeating Arkansas Tech University 27-25 and arch rival Valdosta State for the fourth consecutive time.

The Statesmen look to extend their win streak to three games with a win over the Reddies of Henderson State University this Saturday as part of the 25th annual Pig Pickin festivities at Parker Field at McCool Stadium.
