Box Score LIVINGSTON, Ala. – The Lady Statesmen of Delta State University traveled to Livingston, Ala., for the opening game of their last road trip for 2013 to face the Tigers of West Alabama. Delta State fell 5-0 to West Alabama to drop to 3-10-1 on the season and 1-6-1 in conference play, while West Alabama improved to 10-5 overall and 5-3 in conference action.
West Alabama controlled the tempo and intensity for the entire 90 minutes of play. The Tigers scored first in the 9
th minute of play to take the early 1-0 advantage over the Green-and-White. Just 14 minutes later, another Tiger goal extended West Alabama's lead to 2-0, which held to go into the half.
Three more unanswered goals in the second half by the Tigers at the 50
th and two in the 77
th minute gave West Alabama the commanding 5-0 lead over Delta State, that sustained the win for the Tigers.
The Green-and-White suffered the disadvantage in shots 22-9 and shots on goal 16-5 as only five Lady Statesmen were able to get shots off against the Tigers.
Lauren Hale led the way for Delta State with four shots, two on goal, followed by
Rebecca Deegan with two shots, one on goal.

The Lady Statesmen hit the pitch again in Pensacola, Fla., to take on the Argos of West Florida on Sunday, Oct. 27. Kickoff is set for 12:30 p.m.
