Landon Thibodeaux scored the opening run of the game on a Benji Sullivan single to centerfield.  Sullivan and Jordan Chovanec scored later in the third on a two RBI single by Dex Herrington with the bases loaded.  Kasey Hinton scored the innings last run on a Carlos Leal sacrifice fly.

Christian Brothers (4-14, 0-9 GSC) would have the next nine batters retired in order.

Delta State scored six times in the final inning of the game as Hinton, Herrington, Ben Pickard, Brent Langston, Sullivan and Thibodeaux crossed the plate in the final frame.

Hinton collected three hits in the series finale to lead all players, while Sullivan collected two more hits and a trio of RBI.

Christian Brothers received 2.1 innings from starter Miles Anderson, as he was charged for all four earned runs to score in the third inning.

Delta State Baseball returns to the field on March 11 at Ferriss Field to host Southern Arkansas for a 6pm first pitch.  GoStatesmen.com will have links to live stats and audio for the game.  DSU will return to GSC action this upcoming weekend with a road trip to Jackson, Tenn., to visit Union for a weekend three game series.
