CLEVELAND, Miss. - Delta State University (26-7, 19-4 GSC) is set for a Gulf South Conference off week, traveling to former conference rival Southern Arkansas (29-11) who is now a member of the Great American Conference. DSU and SAU are meeting for the 87th time, with DSU having the 58-28 advantage. SAU defeated the Statesmen at Ferriss Field earlier this season in extra innings, 13-11.

Will Robertson (.376) leads the Statesmen and is third in the GSC. Kasey Hinton (.368) has the conference's fourth best batting average. Carlos Leal (.363 - seventh) and Dex Herrington (.358 - ninth) round out the top hitters for the Statesmen.
