The No. 7 Statesmen have a three-game winning streak heading into this weekend versus No. 4 Argos. Delta State took 2-of-3 at Shorter over the weekend and swept a mid-week doubleheader at Henderson State on Tuesday.

With a team batting average of .330 - 20 points head of the next closest team in the conference, Delta State features five of the top-10 batting averages in the Gulf South Conference in the starting lineup. Will Robertson (.392) leads the Statesmen and is second in the GSC. Landon Thibodeaux (.352), Kasey Hinton (.352), Carlos Leal (.349), and Brent Langston (.349) rank 7-8-9-10 on the GSC leader board.

Senior catcher Carlos Leal leads the team in on base percentage (.481), walks (19), Leal has also thrown out 11-of-35 would be base stealers this season.

Delta State will honor 11 seniors prior to the first pitch of the doubleheader on Saturday. This year's senior class is Jordan Chovanec, Tyler Dalton, Dex Herrington, Kasey Hinton, Brent Langston, Carlos Leal, Michael Manley, Travis Northern, Taylor Stark, Ricky Velez, and Ricky Winters.
