The No. 12 Statesmen are on an 12 game winning streak, having taken a non-conference home win over Arkansas-Monticello on Wednesday. Delta State has moved up in the polls after sweeping previously ranked Alabama in Huntsville and winning every game since splitting a doubleheader at Valdosta State on March 1.

Senior outfielder Dex Herrington is providing offense from right field, leading the Statesmen in slugging percentage (.539), runs scored (31), hits (41), RBI (24), doubles (nine), and total bases (62).
