ARKADELPHIA, Arkansas – The Delta State University women's swimming and diving team clinched first place in every event in a sweep of NSISC rivals Henderson State and Ouachita Baptist on Friday, Nov. 13. The Lady Statesmen defeated Henderson State 224-67 and Ouachita Baptist 231-51.

- Short Story: The Lady Statesmen clinched the meet, taking first place in every event.
How it happened:- Hailey Leonard's score of 255.30 on the 1-Meter board secured her second career qualification for the NCAA pre-qualifying meet at the NCAA Championships. Leonard (187.05) finished second to Cathryn Laird (199.65) on the 3-Meter board.
- Melanie Tombers took first place in three events. Tombers finished first in the 1000-Freestyle with a time of 10:31.01, the 500-Freestyle with a time of 5:09.32 and the 400-Individual Medley with a time of 4:28.30. Tombers' time of 4:28.30 in the 400-Individual Medley is the second best time in the nation.
- Anastasia Klyarovskaya also claimed three events, as she won 100-Backstroke, 200-Butterfly and 200-Backstroke. Her time of 2:03.69 in the 200-Backstroke is the seventh fastest time in the nation.
- Kirsten Stroven picked up victories in the 100-Breastroke and the 200-Breastroke.
- Chloe Bennett also earned victories in the 50 and 100-Freestyle.
- The Lady Statesmen concluded the meet with a first place finish in the 400-Freestyle Relay.
A Look Ahead: The Lady Statesmen divers will travel to St. Charles, Mo., for a meet against Lindenwood University on Nov. 20-21. Both teams are back in action for the Delta State Christmas Invitational Dec. 12-15 at the DSU Aquatics Center.
