HOW IT HAPPENED- Simmons scored her first of two goals in the 21st minute followed by a Laadi Issaka goal in the 32nd minute to give MVSU a 2-0-halftime lead.
- Mariana Balbao, Simmons, Issaka, Earnestina Abambila accounted for MVSU's second half goals.
- Taylor Taffo had eight saves for the Lady Statesmen while Rita Gyasi had one save for the MVSU.
- MVSU outshot DSU 18-3 and had 11 corner kicks.
