CLEVELAND, Miss. – The Delta State University men's soccer team fell to No. 13 Lindenwood University (Mo.) 3-1 for the season finale on Wednesday afternoon at Delta Field.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- In the 26th minute, Lindenwood opened scoring from a loose ball and Xhovani Dokaj dribbled in and scored from a right footed strike.
- Less than seven minutes later, the Lions extended their lead to 2-0 after a Nijaz Muratovic goal from dribbling in on the left side and scoring.
- Early in the second half, Delta State claimed an own goal from a Lindenwood player headed it in from a Myron Duffy set piece.
- Gaspar Alvarez claimed the Lions third and final goal of the match from a high cross by Nikolas Kondic and Alvarez headed it in.
- Jacob Hauenstein made his seventh start in goal for Delta State and saved four shots, allowing three goals.
- In goal for the Lions, Aleksa Nenadic made his 15th start and allowed one goal. In the 74th minute, Tim Licht came on for the rest of the match.
