CLEVELAND, Mississippi – The Delta State University swimming and diving teams return to action on Saturday, Nov. 5 to face NSISC rivals Henderson State.

The No. 5 Lady Statesmen swept all three teams that competed at the Lindenwood Invite, while the No. 14 Statesmen defeated two-of-four teams in the same meet.

ABOUT THE STATESMEN:

- With his victory in the 100-Breaststroke at the Little Rock Invite, Matteo Fraschi owns the second fastest time (55.41) in the country. Fraschi also owns the second- best time (2:01.95) in the 200-Breaststroke.
- Cody Lavoie owns the fifth best standard in NCAA Division II in the 400-IM (4:06.06) and the seventh fastest 200-IM (1:53.13).
- Adam Charlton clocked the ninth best 200-Butterfly in NCAA Division II this season at Missouri S&T, when he finished in 1:53.29.
- The relay team of Fabrice Wendel, Fraschi, Charlton and Mattia Schirru ranks seventh in the 400-Medley Relay (3:27.56).

ABOUT THE LADY STATESMEN:

- Newcomer Caroline Jouisse ranks second in the 500-Freestyle, after swimming a 5:01.31 at the Lindenwood Invite. She also has the fourth fastest time in the 1000-Freestyle (10:17.83).
- After posting a 10:16.59 at Lindenwood, 10-time NCAA All-American Melanie Tombers ranks third in the 1000-Freestyle.
- Anastasia Klyarovskaya holds the fourth fastest time in the 100-Backstroke (56.67).
- In her first collegiate meet, Gaby Santis clocked a 1:53.14 to rank sixth in the 200-Freestyle.
- The Lady Statesmen own a pair of top-10 times in relay events. Klyarovskaya, Kirsten Stroven, Kierstin Page and Chloe Bennett are eighth in the 200-Medley relay (1:47.39). Hannah Hummer, Maria Belisario, Batsel and Bennett rank 10th in the 400-Freestyle relay (3:35.26).

The Statesmen defeated Henderson State 209-91 on Nov. 15, 2015 in a dual meet, before finishing the home regular-season schedule on Jan. 15 with a 212-88 victory over the Reddies.

On Nov. 15, 2015, the Lady Statesmen defeated Henderson State 224-67. DSU was victorious 217-77 in the second meeting with HSU on Jan. 15, 2016.
