CLEVELAND, Mississippi – Coming off one of the best wins in program history, the Delta State women's soccer team will host Auburn University at Montgomery for their second home game of the season at 4:00 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 16, at Delta Field.

ABOUT DSU:
- Delta State enters Friday's match coming off an 11-1 win over Alcorn State University on Sept. 13. The 11 goals tied the school record for most goals scored in a game, and mark the highest scoring game of the season.
- Delta State's scoring offense ranks third in the nation and first in the Gulf South Conference.
- The Lady Statesmen lead the nation and the league in assists per game averaging 5.25.
- Delta State is ranked No. 2 in the nation in points per game and first in the GSC in points per game with 16.75.
- The Lady Statesmen are now 3-1 on the season—the best start since 2009.
- In just four games, the Lady Statesmen have topped 2015's goal total and tied the amount of wins.
- Catherine Thomson is the first Lady Statesman to score a hat-trick on the season. She tied former Lady Statesmen Bridget Duke and Shannon Brown for the record for most goals scored during a game with three.
- Katie Swaine tied the 10th place record for most points in a season with the win against Alcorn State. She leads the Lady Statesmen offense with four goals, four assists, and 12 points. Her 12 points rank ninth nationally and first in the GSC.
- Thomson and Swaine are tied for the team lead in goals with four apiece, followed by Tabitha Hayden (three), Sam Naughton (three), Ali Sullivan (three), Taylor Guess (two), Rebecca Deegan (one), Traci Monroe (one), Zoe Scruggs (one), and Taylor Schofield (one).
- Anoucke Baas and Swaine move into second place for most assists in a season with four apiece.
- Emily Oldacre is only one win away from tying the fourth place record for most wins in a season. She tied the fourth place record for most shutouts in a season (two) on Sept. 7 when the Lady Statesmen swept Louisiana College 7-0.
ABOUT AUBURN MONTOGMERY:
- Auburn University at Montgomery (AUM) has been transitioning into NCAA Division II from NAIA. AUM joined the GSC this year and will become an official NCAA and GSC member in 2017-18.
- The Warhawks are currently 2-1-1.
- They enter Friday's match coming off their first NCAA DII home win, recording a 3-0 shutout over Emmanuel College on Tuesday, Sept. 13.
- Ruby Mendez leads the Warhawk offense with four goals, eight points and 20 shots.
