HOW IT HAPPENED:
- The match remained scoreless until Montevallo's Simone Nelson found the back of the net in the 38th minute to give the Falcons a 1-0 lead.
- Within the first minute of the second half, Sam Naughton tied the game, 1-1, with her first goal of the season off an assist by Anoucke Baas.
- Taylor Kuke's goal in the 53rd minute put Montevallo back on top, 2-1.
- Michaela Franklin sealed the win for Falcons in the 86th minute scoring Montevallo's final goal of the game.
- Tabitha Hayden, Shelby Nell and Naughton led the Lady Statesmen's with three shots apiece. Franklin led the Falcons with two shots, one goal and one assist.
- Goalkeeper Emily Oldacre made two saves, facing five shots on goal
- Montevallo goalkeeper Judith Perez-Bayon registered five saves, facing six shots on goal, conceding one goal.
STAT OF THE GAME:
- DSU held the advantage on shots on goal, but Montevallo had the edge on corner kicks.
