CLEVELAND, Mississippi – The Lady Statesmen will travel to Pineville, La., for a non-conference game against Louisiana College at 5:00 p.m. on Sept. 7, 2016.
INSIDE THE SERIES:
- Delta State leads the series 6-0.
- The Lady Statesmen defeated Louisiana College 5-0 during the 2015 season. The five goals marked the second highest scoring game of the season for the Lady Statesmen.
ABOUT DSU:
- The Lady Statesmen opened the 2016 campaign with a 4-0 win over Millsaps College. The four goals mark the second highest-scoring season opener in program history.
- Coming off a 3-1 loss to the University of Montevallo, the Lady Statesmen are aiming for a 2-1 start to the season, which would be the best start since 2009.
- Senior Katie Swaine leads the team with two goals, followed by Tabitha Hayden, Taylor Schofield, and Samantha Naughton who each have one goal apiece.
