TAHLEQUAH, Okla. - The Northeastern State University men's soccer team scored three goals in the first half against the Delta State University men's soccer as the Riverhawks downed the Statesmen in the season finale for Delta State on Saturday night at Paul DeLoache Field.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- In the 26th minute, the Northeastern State Riverhawks' Joe Garcia scored the first of the game, capitalizing on a Statesmen foul in the box. Garcia converted the penalty kick for his 11th goal of the season for NSU.
- Less than five minutes later, the Riverhawks converted on a cornerkick, as Joe Garcia fed a ball to James Doyle, who scored his second goal of the season.
- NSU added their third tally of the opening half of action, as Jacob Weaver collected his second goal of the season in the 40th minute.
- Northeastern State outshot the Statesmen 9-8 for the game, and each team made three saves in goal.
BEYOND THE BOX SCORE:
- The Green and White were shut out for the tenth time this season. They also conceded three goals, which marks the seventh time this season that the Statesmen have given up three or more goals in a game this season.
- Pedro Verissimo and Tom Bar-Yosef were each issued yellow cards in Delta State's finale.
