CLEVELAND, Miss. -- The Delta State men's and women's swimming and diving teams are set to head to Arkadelphia, Arkansas to take on NSISC opponent Henderson State on Friday November 2.
The Statesmen continue in the CSCAA poll ranked at number four in the country with 123 points. The Lady Statesmen continue at number 15 with 79 points in the first poll.

Women's Notables:
The Lady Statesmen are coming off of a meet where they defeated last season's 2018 New South Women's Team Conference Champions, the Lindenwood Lions. This marks the second time in four years during the October road trip to Missouri, last time was a 123 – 120 victory during 2016.
The 200 medley relay grouping of
Madelyn Byrd (Backstroke),
Madison Lavoie (Breaststroke),
Lucia Martelli (Butterfly), and
Celina Batsel (Freestyle) improved on their nation leading time with a 1:45.53 two weeks ago. They continue to be the top medley relay time in the country for NCAA Division 2. The relay finished over two full seconds ahead of the entire field against Lindenwood and Drury.
Men's Notables:
For the Statesmen,
Giulio Brugnoni won the 50 yard freestyle against Lindenwood and Drury with a time of 20:78, this is the first time he has won that event this season.
Kyle Weesner won the one meter diving and the three meter diving two weeks ago. Brugnoni continued his dominance of the 100 yard backstroke, winning with a time of 48.88. He also continued his undefeated streak in the backstroke winning at least one of the two lengths in every meet this season. In 400-Medley relay, Brugnoni led off the backstroke leg with a 49.84, becoming the pool record holder.

the Lady Statesmen and Statesmen diving team will host the DSU Dive Invite Friday November 16 through Sunday November 18. Then the swim and dive teams return to action on December 15th for the annual Delta State Christmas Invitational. That meet will be held at the DSU Aquatics Center December 15-18.
