MELBOURNE, Fla. – Florida Tech scored three goals in a 26 minute span during the first half to defeat the Delta State University women's soccer team 4-0, on Friday at Rick Stottler Field.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Maria Munoz scored the first of her two goals in the 8th minute, to give the Panthers a 1-0 lead.
- Munoz struck again in the 23rd minute to extend the lead to 2-0.
- The Panthers scored their third of the half in the 34th minute on a goal by Veronica Thordardott.
- FIT outshot the Lady Statesmen 16-2 in the opening 45 minutes.
- Brittany Etrick finished the scoring in the 69th minute after finishing a corner kick.
- Heather Travis and Amanda Hilliard finished with three saves apiece. Travis played 42 minutes of the first half before giving way to Hilliard.

- The Panthers finished the game with a 24-2 advantage in shots.
BEYOND THE BOX SCORE:
- The loss prevented DSU from going 2-0 for the first time in school history.
