CLEVELAND, Miss.- The Delta State University women's soccer team returns home after a two game road swing this past weekend. The Lady Statesmen went 1-1 defeating Shorter and losing to Lee. This weekend DSU hosts two schools from the Volunteer state at Delta Field.

INSIDE THE SERIES: Delta State trails the all time series with CBU 13-3-1. Last year DSU won its first game over Christian Brothers since 2008 with a 4-3 final score. The four goals against CBU ended a streak that saw the Lady Bucs outscore DSU 14-0 over the previous four meetings. DSU had not scored against Christian Brothers since dropping a 2-1 decision in 2013.
This will be the 13th meeting all time between DSU and Union with the Lady Bulldogs leading the series 7-5. Last year the Green and White scored two goals in each half, and goalkeeper
Amanda Hilliard had 12 saves in a 4-0 shutout victory over Union. DSU has won two straight over Union.
LAST TIME OUT: The Delta State University Women's soccer team fell on the road to the #5 team in the country by a final score of 3-0. The Lady Statesmen never could get the offensive attack going in the loss only managing four shots. It was the most goals given up in one game on the season for DSU.
Tasha Toms leads the Lady Statesmen with two goals.
INSIDE THE OPPONENTS:
CBU is currently tied for first place in the GSC with a 3-0 record. The only other undefeated team in GSC play is Mississippi College who is 4-0. The Bucs overall record is 7-1. Their only loss was to Clayton State on the road. They have scored 18 goals while only giving up six. Bailey Tadlock leads the way with three goals and nine assists while Bobbie Willis has four goals on the season.
Union enters the weekend with a 2-4 record. Their two wins have come against Florida Southern and Spring Hill. They are 1-2 in GSC play with their two losses coming to UWF and CBU. The Lady Bulldogs are led by Addison Dunn and Holly Trisdale who both have two goals.
