Box Score CARROLLTON, Ga.- The Delta State University women's soccer team recorded their third straight shutout as they defeated West Georgia in a crucial road Gulf South Conference match. The lone goal for the Lady Statesmen came in the 37^th minute as Alexis Hobbs slipped one into the back of the net. This was the first time DSU has ever defeated UWG on the road.

HOW IT HAPPENED

• Delta State dominated the early portion of the game out shooting the West Georgia 6-1.
• Alexis Hobbs scored her first goal of her Green and White career in the 37^th minute.
• Amanda Hilliard picked up a yellow card in the second half.
• Hannah James and Carra Hymel also earned yellow cards in the second half.
• West Georgia brought the pressure in the second half but Hilliard had three saves in the half to record the shutout.
