CLEVELAND, Miss.- The Delta State University women's soccer team returns home for their final two regular season home games against the University of Montevallo and Auburn University-Montgomery on Friday and Sunday at Delta Field. Sunday's game will be senior day for ten Lady Statesmen.

INSIDE THE SERIES: Delta State trails the all time series with Montevallo 8-1-1. Last season UM defeated DSU 2-0. The won win for the Green and White came in 2-15 and the tie came in 2017.
DSU leads the series over AUM 2-1. Last year DSU won 4-3 over AUM with Casey Lafontaine scoring two goals in the win.
LAST TIME OUT: The Delta State University Women's soccer team lost on a last minute score by Mississippi College to win 1-0. It was the second straight game the Lady Statesmen lost in the last three minutes of the game. Currently, the Lady Statesmen sit in the final spot for the GSC Championship with four games to go.
INSIDE THE OPPONENTS: Montevallo is 9-2-3 on the year including 7-1-1 in GSC play. The Falcons are sitting in second place in GSC play. Last week they beat Lee and Shorter at home. They are led by Romee Contreras who has six goals and six assists on 36 shots so far this year. Samara Lino has six goals and two assists as well. Their two goalkeepers have only given up thirteen goals all year.
Auburn Montgomery is 1-12-1 on the year and is 1-7-1 in GSC play. Last week they held Lee to just one goal in a loss and tied Shorter. Ruby Mendez leads AUM in scoring and is second in the GSC with nine goals. She has taken 60 shots in the year with 27 on target.
