CLEVELAND, Miss.- The Delta State University women's soccer team heads on the road for the final games of the regular season this Thursday and Saturday down along the gulf coast. On Thursday they will play West Florida in Pensacola and on Saturday the Lady Statesmen will play in Mobile at Spring Hill College. The Lady Statesmen currently sit in the eighth and final spot in the GSC standings as they try to clinch their first ever birth in the GSC tournament. They are currently one place ahead of UAH for the final spot in the tournament and are also tied with CBU for seventh.

INSIDE THE SERIES: Delta State trails the all time series with West Florida 14-0. Last season in Cleveland the Argos blanked the Lady Statesmen 3-0.
DSU leads the series over Spring Hill 4-3-1. Last year DSU won 3-0 in the rain over SHC to earn their fifth GSC win which was a record.
LAST TIME OUT: The Delta State University Women's soccer team defeated AUM 2-0 on Sunday.
Diana Okechukwu and
Anna Whitehead gave the Lady Statesmen the win while
Amanda Hilliard recorded her sixth shutout of the season.
INSIDE THE OPPONENTS:
UWF is 11-4 on the season and 8-3 in GSC play which has them in fifth place in the standings. UWF has scored 43 goals this year which is second most in the GSC while they have only given up 9 goals. The Argos are led by Anita Danielsdottir who has nine goals and nine assists which tops in the GSC. She has taken 75 shots this year with 34 on goal.
Spring Hill is 1-14 and 0-11 in GSC play. They are lead by Sidney Spivey who has two goals and one assist. Olivia Odimegwu and Libby Durrough both have two goals a piece as well.
